STANDING SEAM DOUBLE LOCK

The standing seam system works well on roofs with a slope of at least 3° (better if it’s 7° or more). The profiled seams provide a polished and sophisticated look across the entire roof area.

Features & Benefits

When the slope of the roof is greater than 3°, ideally > 7° (ideally less than 7°), a standing seam system can keep rain out of the roof and walls. If the roof or wall is steep, more than 25°, we use a single standing seam. But if it’s less than 25°, a double-standing folded seam is used.

 

The application of titanium zinc to roofs or facades via the standing seam technique proves to be efficient and cost-effective. This efficiency stems from utilizing prepared bays and mechanically folding the seams, reducing the reliance on manual folding. These prefabricated bays are custom-sized and folded on-site, either through mechanical means or manual intervention. Moreover, the flexibility extends beyond straight bays, allowing for the creation of curved (convex and concave) and tapered bays with ease.

A standing seam roof connects the zinc bays vertically with a so-called (double) standing seam. The material has a 0.80 mm thickness. The roof height and the wind load define the permissible bay width. The recommended area width ranges from 330 to 530 millimetres. 10 meters is the recommended maximum bay length (thermal movement: 20 mm). Consider managing the bays while making a decision.
